2022 Pacesetter totals

PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCING 2022 SCUFFY KICKOFF
“SCUFFY: A Recipe for Community Success”- That’s the theme for the 2022 Shelby County United Fund campaign, and ten Pacesetter companies have started this year’s campaign off with record numbers.
The results of the Pacesetters’ campaign were announced on March 2 during a virtual gathering as SCUFFY starts to raise $875,000 for its thirteen agencies. Wednesday kicked off the beginning of the regular SCUFFY campaign that will conclude with a dinner on May 4.
The 2022 Pacesetter companies are First Financial Bank, Loper Elementary School, Bowen Engineering, Builder’s Lumber and Hardware, Stephenson Rife LLP, McNeelyLaw LLP, Yushiro Manufacturing America, Runnebohm Construction, Major Health Partners and Brazeway.
These companies worked hard in January and February to have successful internal campaigns for SCUFFY. Getting off to an early start, these very special companies set the pace for the 2022 fundraising campaign by holding their employee drives in advance of the regular campaign.
“From the 13 various and vital community agencies, the drive and passionate volunteers, committee and board members, and the generous and dedicated donors, SCUFFY truly has the recipe for community success.” Said 2022 Drive chair Ricca Macklin.
“It’s been an honor to serve as the 2022 drive chair. As a chef who has had the opportunity to serve this community in and out of the kitchen, this year’s theme holds a special place in my heart.”
“The thirteen agencies are represented by the spices in this year’s logo. Every chef and home cook knows just how important spices are to a dish. The spices are all different and all very important for our community, bringing about its own flavor for our community to enjoy.”
The second part is the tools. Tools in the kitchen are necessary and without them your recipe can flop! The tools in our recipe for community success are the SCUFFY staff, board and committee members, and volunteers who work hard behind the scenes every day to ensure the recipe turns out perfectly every time.”
Last, but certainly not least, our donors both industry and private donors are like the cooks making all of this possible by showing up and giving so generously every year to ensure our community thrives.
So once again thank you all for being such essential ingredients, tools, and cooks in the recipe for community success. ”
This year mark SCUFFY’s 68th annual fund drive. Shelby County United Fund raises money each year through the annual campaign to help support the following member agencies that serve Shelby County: The Arc of Shelby County, Boy Scouts, Boys Club, Cancer Association of Shelby County, Project Clothes for Kids, Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Head Start, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, Shelby Senior Services, Turning Point, and USO.
