Boys Club - Visit Online Provides an active environment for boys ages five to eighteen to enjoy sports leagues, field trips, and peer interaction. Membership is currently at approximately 1,300 youth and 182 adult volunteers for the Shelbyville club and 396 youth and 50 volunteers for the Morristown club. |

Project Clothes For Kids SCUFFY purchases clothing and shoes once a year for approximately 250 income eligible children in Shelby County. Each child receives a complete outfit including pants, shirt, shoes, and undergarments. The Elks work in conjunction with the school system to find children in need. |

Girls Inc. - Visit Online Offers a variety of programming including after school, summer and vacation programs for girls five to eighteen designed to help girls grow "strong, smart, and bold." These programs include enrichment (science, math, music, arts, & computers), prevention (drug & alcohol, teen pregnancy, and child abuse), and sports (fundamentals and team competition). |

Girl Scouts - Visit Online Helps girls develop self-confidence through community service. There are nearly six hundred Girls Scouts in Shelby County. |

Head Start - Visit Online A preschool program for income eligible children that combines several components to help these children become excited about learning and ready to succeed in school. The components include education, transportation, health, nutrition, and family services. Approximately 80 Shelby County children and their families are served each year. |

Meals on Wheels
A program that delivers meals prepared at W. S. Major hospital to the infirm, aged, or ill. Approximately 35 individuals are served one or two nutritious meals daily. Nearly 30 regular and 30 substitute volunteers deliver the meals each weekday. |

Salvation Army - Visit Online Emphasizes helping people spiritually and financially during emergency situations. At Christmas time they conduct a Toy Town and make personalized visits to those in nursing homes and jails. They also provide an after-school drop-in program, operate Coats for Kids and vision USA, and they serve a free lunch daily. They also provide aid to transients and food to those unable to purchase their own on a temporary basis. |

Shelby County Cancer Association An organization administered entirely by volunteers that provides the following to qualifying cancer patients
- Gasoline to pay for transportation to and from radiation and chemotherapy treatements
- Funds for prescriptions not covered by insurance or Medi-caid
- Assistance with chemotherapy treatment expense

Shelby Senior Services - Visit Online An agency that makes independent living easier for those over sixty years of age. Shelby Senior Services provides congregate meals daily, a homemaking service, handyman service, transportation, and help with insurance and tax forms. They also provide adult respite day care. |

Turning Point - Visit Online Provides support, social services, and if needed, shelter for vicims of domestic violence. Counseling is also available for the abuser and for children who have experienced domestic violence. A 24 hour crisis line provides confidential help to those who need it. |

USO - Visit Online Provides a home away from home for service men and women stationed around the world. The USO coordinates volunteer opportunities to encourage community involvement, and scholarships and emergency aid are provided to military families. |

Shelby Community Health Center SCUFFY's newest agency is a nonprofit community health clinic serving the needs of Shelby County adults who do not have health care insurance and cannot afford other medical care available in the community. Staffed by volunteers, the clinic handled approximately 1500 patient visits in 2003. |
