Get On The Bus!

"SCUFFY Says - GET ON THE BUS to a Caring Community" The Shelby County United Fund For You, or SCUFFY, asks one time a year that everyone in the community become a SCUFFY partner by giving generously to support member agencies that provide important health and human services to Shelby County. This year's drive - SCUFFY's 56th - will began on March 3, 2010 with a goal of $768,000. Your contributions will help SCUFFY reach this goal and will help the member agencies continue to serve Shelby County.

With over 95,000 instances of service from the SCUFFY member agencies to Shelby County residents, it's easy to see that SCUFFY is vital to the more than 43,000 people living in Shelby County. Those helped might include a mother and child who overcome domestic violence, an individual who rises above the ailments of cancer through proper care, or a senior citizen who is able to remain independent. But none of this is possible without you.

SCUFFY needs your generosity and your caring heart in order to face the challenges ahead. We have thousands of kids who need after school care, more than 2,500 were helped with programs from Boys Club and Girls, Inc.; elderly shut-ins need food prepared, Meals on Wheels provided over 11,000 meals last year; the free Shelby Community Health Center will see more than 5,000 patients who can't afford health insurance or can't get health coverage.

Simply put: The more you give, the more who are helped. Your contribution does make a difference!

So...GET ON THE BUS to a Caring Community

Let's start the New Year off right by helping SCUFFY reach the goal for 2010! Thank you for your support.
